About the project

One page between you and kickoff

CostToWatch is an independent guide to watching NFL games in the United States. It maps the schedule to channels and streaming services, then estimates the cheapest legal combination for the teams you follow.

Why it exists

The question before every game

“What channel is the game on?” used to have one answer. In 2026 it can mean a broadcast affiliate, a cable network, a streaming exclusive, or a service you have never opened. The schedule is public; the cost of watching it is not.

CostToWatch puts the schedule, the channel, and the monthly cost on one page. The calculator is deliberately simple: pick teams, add the services you already pay for, and compare the remaining combinations by price.

Data

Where the numbers come from

Schedule, scores, records, and standings come from ESPN's public NFL endpoints, captured in a snapshot and refreshed when the data pipeline runs. Broadcast windows come from the same schedule feed. The snapshot date is shown in the footer.

Streaming prices and channel lineups are maintained by hand from provider pricing pages. They are estimates, not quotes, and they change often. Taxes, regional sports fees, promotional terms, and local channel availability can change the real bill.

This site is not affiliated with the NFL, its teams, ESPN, or any broadcaster. Team names and marks belong to their owners and are used here for identification only.

Money

How the site is supported

Some links to streaming services are affiliate links. If you subscribe through one, CostToWatch may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are ranked by price and channel coverage; commission rates do not determine the order.

The site may also show display advertising. Advertising does not influence the calculator's ranking.

Corrections

Something wrong?

Channel assignments and prices move. If you spot an error, email [email protected] with the page URL and the correction. The feedback button in the corner also works.
